Located 22km from the Napier airport and only 4km from Hastings, Havelock North is a ‘village’ of 12,000 population nestled in the heart of the Hawkes Bay Wine Country.
The Havelock North Function Centre is situated right in the centre of the village next to the Public Library and literally one minute’s walk away from shops, banks, cafes, restaurants and bars. Excellent motel and boutique accommodation are also within a few minutes’ walking distance.
The village provides ample opportunities for exquisite retail therapy within a vibrant, friendly atmosphere. Some of the best wines in the world are produced at wineries 2km down the road.
The area is also renowned for its huge variety of quality local produce from its lush orchards, market gardens and farms. This abundance forms the basis for an unlimited feast of healthy, delicious fare offered by our onsite caterers.
Designed by visionary New Zealand architect, Paris Magdalinos (1942-
Opened in 1998 after years of community fundraising and with the support of the Hastings District Council, the Function Centre is a modern example of a long heritage of unique architectural works by renowned architects.
